The government of burma advises tourists that souvenirs are
subject to export restrictions. souvernirs and gems purchased
from diplomatic stores or hotel gift shops may be exported
provided a receipt voucher is presented. souvenirs purchased
from street vendors may cause problems to export. currency
exchange: compulsory exchange of usd$300.00 or equivalent
in pounds sterling is required on entry for: myanmar expatriates
on social/family visits
All entry visa holders /with the exception of multiple journey
visa holders
Those entering myanmar at invitation of or associated with
local foreign embassy personnel and u.n. staff
Currency

Persons on organized tour or cruise ship
